Isla Mujeres

Located just across the Bahia de Mujeres (Bay of Women) from Cancun, a visit to the gorgeous island of Isla Mujeres makes for an unforgettable day trip. Boasting one of the best beaches in all of Mexico, along with a fascinating underwater museum, pirate-built hacienda ruins, and breathtaking cliff views, Isla Mujeres is one spot that can’t be missed on any visit to Cancun.

Cancun Underwater Museum

Divers will love exploring this unique underwater museum, filled with over 500 sculptures. The museum was created as a dedicated space for Cancun divers to explore, preserving local coral reefs. On repeat visits, you’ll notice that the sculptures change over time as they become more integrated into their aquatic environment, so there’s always something new to see! If you’re not much of a diver, never fear: snorkeling and sailing are alternate options. MUSA provides tourists with same-day training on snorkeling safety. You can also view its magnificent sculptures from the comfort of a boat deck, looking through its glass-bottom hull.

El Meco Archaeological Site

These lesser-known ancient Mayan ruins date back to the third century and formed an important port for Isla Mujeres. Because the site is not known as a hot spot, it’s a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and take in a piece of history without the crowds.

Cenotes

A cenote is a natural pool inside an underground cavern. They are beautiful natural wonders, and thankfully, Cancun has many available to visit. Take a swim in a cenote and you’ll see a vast network of underground caves that are sure to astound and delight you.

The staff is so loving and caring and have gone beyond to ensure our stay is perfect. The drinks have been delicious and beautiful. Each meal has been catered to our needs. The presentation of the food is a form of art in itself. I thoroughly enjoyed the meticulous plate settings!

Our chef and sous chef took the time to specialize our meals to our dietary needs. Being able to enjoy gluten-free food on vacation has been a blessing. And it is the best gluten free food we have ever had! I cannot thank you enough for making this accommodation.

The view is amazing! Luis had recommended watching the sunrise and boy we are glad we did - it was spectacular!
